***Wag, Walk & Run 2010*** Helping Paws – Hopkins, MN

I was a volunteer photographer for Wag, Walk & Run this year. It is put on by Helping Paws. The mission of Helping Paws is to further the independence of individuals with physical disabilities through the use of service dogs. It has been inspiring hearing about some of the stories of individuals whose lives have been changed when they receive a dog trained by Helping Paws volunteers. Brings tears to my eyes! The event took place on May 23rd and it was a beautiful day, cloudy, a photographers dream! I could shoot anywhere! I roamed around the event looking for wonderful opportunities to capture loving interactions, great candids and some adorable pups. I had a blast! I have 3 dogs of my own. (Call me “crazy dog lady!”) i.love.dogs. That is paws down an understatement. (I couldn’t resist) I would love to have a dog sanctuary where I could take in all the dogs in need. someday… I hope you enjoy the pictures and please have a look at the Helping Paws website, some wonderful people doing grand things in this world. – sloppy kisses to you.

Becky Higgins Big Photography Giveaway!

I first heard of Becky Higgins when I started scrapbooking. I loved her style!! She put colors together that made me anxious to start a new page. She designed fonts that I just had to have. I waited with anticipation for her new design books to be shipped out. Her new Project Life is an amazing new venture! She says, “Project Life is a way to capture your memories in a format that is simple, pre-designed, and ready for you to add your personal photos and stories. The end result is a professionally-designed book that looks like you spent a lot of time on it, but in reality, Project life is the simplest form of scrapbooking around.” How cool is that!!I did get to meet her at a CHA convention in California. She was sweet as can be. I have followed her progress and was so excited when she decided to have a Photography Giveaway. I jumped on board and am excited to be a part of some very thoughtful and giving photographers around the country. All giving of their time and talents to share their gifts with deserving families. How could I not be a part of this event! Go to her site, Becky Higgins Blog, and find me! I am offering, to a wonderful family up to 5 members, a 45min to one hour photoshoot, 15-20 high rez files on CD and an 8×10 of your favorite image! Can’t wait to meet you!
